Carlee Smith

President

Carlee is a junior Kinesiology major from Pace, Florida. Her favorite Tri Delta memories are hanging out at the house every day, piling up in each other's rooms, and sitting in the nook all night watching movies. She says "its the little moments like these that have made my college and Tri Delta experience so special because of the time spent together and the bonds we create during this shared time." Carlee knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I felt comfortable every time I walked through the doors during recruitment. I saw my values align with the women I met and always felt as though I could be myself. From this moment those feelings have continued to grow and Tri Delta has continued to exceed my expectations in teaching me more about myself and bringing out the best version of myself as well. I am constantly reminded by Tri Delta and it’s members why I wanted to join this chapter while continuing to fall in love with it all over again."

Maddy Mares

Maddy is a junior Mathematics Licensure major from Covington, Lousiana. Her two favorite things are bringing her favorite TV show or movies to the nook at the Tri Delta house and having movie nights with her gals. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "they sang their songs on preference night when I went through recruitment."

Cailyn is a junior Biology major from Covington, Louisiana. Her two favorite things are chocolate and a good book. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I saw how much Tri Delta and all its members meant to each other. It made me feel like this was a group I wanted to be a part of!!!"

Kate is a junior, Speech Pathology major from Silas, Alabama. Her favorite USM memory is being a GEWW leader and having the opportunity to welcome new students to the Southern Miss campus. The moment Kate knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta was, "when I saw how all of these girls loved and adored one another on preference night. I could really tell that they genuinely cared about each other and that was something I wanted!"

AnnaGrace Meeks

AnnaGrace Meeks is a sophomore, Communication Studies major from Gulfport, Mississippi. Her two favorite things are coffee and working out! The moment that AnnaGrace knew that she wanted to be a Tri Delta was, "definitely Sisterhood Day! During my interactions and conversations with the women of Tri Delta, I knew that their genuine sisterhood was something I wanted to be a part of because I felt like I could be unapologetically myself."

Abby is a junior, Accounting major from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Abby's favorite Hattiesburg hotspots are Papito's and Target! The moment Abby knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta was, "When I went to stay with my cousin in the Tri Delta house in the 10th grade! The girls were so much fun and genuine! I couldn't wait to get here!"

Alyssa Faler

Alyssa is a sophomore Kinesiology Exercise Science major from Sumrall, Mississippi. Her favorite Southern Miss memory is a collection of moments with the people she has met during her time at USM; "This university has brought so many amazing people into my life, and I will forever be grateful for this solid community at Southern Miss. Many of the people in this community are also in Tri Delta. Coming into recruitment, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be in a sorority at all, and I was very much on the fence even throughout recruitment week." She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when, "I was sitting in Tri Delta on preference night, and I saw how genuine the women in the chapter are. As they sang different songs, I was able to see the connections and community they each had with each other and with the chapter. I am so thankful that I found a place as special as Tri Delta and Southern Miss."

Sydnie Lyons

Sydnie is a Nursing major from Ethel, Louisiana. Her favorite Tri Delta memory was flipping pancakes and dancing around the chapter room with Sarah Sandoz last year at our philanthropy event, Tri Hop. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I walked into the Tri Delta house on philanthropy day during recruitment. On this day I could feel the love these members have for St. Jude and I could tell how passionate they were about it. I wanted to be apart of something like that, something bigger than myself."

Emily is a sophomore Nursing major from Franklinton, Louisiana. Her favorite Tri Delta memory is the long nights full of laughs with her sisters at the Tri Delta house. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I found out on philanthropy day that I would have the opportunity to be a small part of something as awesome as St. Jude!"

Jessi Hebert

Jessi is a junior, Business Administration major from Gulfport, Mississippi. Jessi loves Christmas and OPI nail polish; she celebrates Christmas year round. The moment Jessi knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta: "I had my eye on Tri Delta before I went through recruitment. I saw the special bond that my older sister and her friends have and I wanted that one day. Once I went through recruitment for myself I knew that Tri Delta was the one for me. Tri Delta has the most genuine group of women and the friendships are the kind you want forever!"

Chloe Robinson

Chloe is a sophomore Kinesiology Exercise Science major from Gilbertown, Alabama. Her favorite Tri Delta memories are the late nights spent at the house laughing and having fun with the girls that have changed her life for the better. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I saw the passion that each girl had for St. Jude during philanthropy day of recruitment. This passion really caught my eye and how each person I talked to were so proud to serve for the kids. I realized that day that I wanted to be a part of this organization that focused mainly on helping others and children suffering from cancer while also sharing the sweetest sisterhood."

Maggie is a sophomore International Business major from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Her favorite place in Hattiesburg is T-Bones record store and cafe. She knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when "I got to know some of the genuine hearts of the Tri Delta members throughout recruitment week. I saw a love between all of the girls that I knew I wanted to be a part of."

Sloane is a sophomore Speech Pathology major from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Her favorite Tri Delta memory is dressing up like Buddy the Elf for big little reveal and getting the best little in the entire world! The moment she knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta was "From the minute I stepped through those doors during recruitment, a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I felt safe and at home- there was absolutely no judgment. They loved me despite my ugly cry and that’s all that really matters. They saw in me what I could have never seen in myself, and it’s made me the confident woman I am today."

Breanna is a sophomore Elementary Education major from Waynesboro, Mississippi. Her favorite Southern Miss memory is dancing in the homecoming dance and winning first place! The moment she knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta was "Seeing the love and authenticity in this chapter on preference night and the love the girls had for each other. I knew I wanted to be a part of the things God is doing in Tri Delta."

Mollie is a freshman nursing major from Pensacola, Florida. Her favorite Tri Delta memory is Tri Hop because she was able to see so much of our Greek life at southern come together to support Tri Delta and it's philanthropy while being able to hang out with all of her best friends and show love for Tri Delta & St. Jude. Mollie says she knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta "on the first day of recruitment when Chloe Robinson grabbed me at the door and I later found out we had the same love for wiener dogs, and every girl I talked to throughout the week make it clearer and clearer why I should be apart of their chapter. I felt so at home and wanted and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else".

Her favorite Tri Delta memory would have to be cheering on her sisters at the homecoming dance competition or when she met her big sister, Sydnie. Kaylee knew she wanted to be a Tri Delta when “I walked into the chapter room on preference night of recruitment. This night was when I truly realized how much these girls loved and valued each other, and I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of something that great! This night was also when I realized how unique and confident each girl in Tri Delta is, and I knew that Tri Delta would be the best place for me to find girls who would hold me accountable and accept me for who I truly am.”
